Urb-it, the rapidly growing sustainable logistics platform, is delighted to announce it has opened its operations in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain. Through establishing hyper local hubs in Spain's two largest cities, it is able to deliver the last mile for e-commerce and logistics partners to over 3.5 million residents in the cities.
Spain is Europe's fastest growing e-commerce market; and the country has low emission zones in effect, or planned, across its largest cities. Urb-it's employed couriers deliver the last mile sustainably on its 100% e-cargo bike fleet.
Urb-it also operates in France and the UK's largest cities, partnering with clients including Cainiao Network (the logistics arm of the Alibaba Group), Amazon and DHL. It has ambitious expansion plans for both existing and new European markets, scaling in major cities with high population densities, high e-commerce volumes and strong regulatory drivers to reduce pollution and congestion.
