Acconeer publish two new focus use cases within presence detectionTo simplify and create faster development processes, Acconeer continuously publishes new focus use cases with associated reference applications and demonstration videos on its website. Customers are thereby allowed to download software and application development packages and can quickly initiate tests on their hardware or one of Acconeer's development platforms. By making the source code available, customers can easily adapt the reference application to their products. Acconeer now publishes two new focus use cases for presence detection:
Acconeer has created a software for smart presence, which means that the sensor can detect if a person is moving towards an object (such as a refrigerator or speaker) or is passing by the object. Combined with the sensor's ability to sense small movements, such as the pulse of a person, it is possible to determine if, for example, there is a living being in a smoke-filled room.
- Presence detection in cars
Legislation in Europe, the United States, and Australia among others, will require car manufacturers to install alarms that detect if a child is forgotten in a locked car. Acconeer's sensor has a great opportunity of becoming the leading solution in this market, thanks to its sensitivity, smallness, power-efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
