Move About delivers sustainable mobility to ÄngelholmÄngelholm municipality and the local housing company Ängelholmshem collaborates with mobility company Move About to reduce carbon emission, and as of this becomes one of the largest suppliers of shared mobility in Ängelholm. The contract includes a delivery of up to eight cars.
The ambition is to reduce carbon emissions from the municipality's corporate travels as well as Ängelholmshem's tenants through Move About's car sharing services.
A new neighborhood, called Stationsområdet, is taking shape in Ängelholm. The area is highly focused on sustainability and the buildings are certified according to the Silver standards of environmental building.
Ängelholmshem offers their residents modern housing with sustainable solutions such as solar panels on the rooftops, as well as a green car sharing service delivered by Move About to name a few.
The first station for car sharing is being delivered to Ängelholmshems real estate project Nya Saftstationen, where the tenants also get a free Move About membership. In the first stage the cars will be reserved for the tenants in the neighborhood.

By offering our tenants access to shared electric cars we contribute to a more sustainable way of thinking - both for our tenants and our company", says Frida Raeburn, property care manager, Ängelholmshem.
Easy to be sustainable
The neighborhood is located close to the city center as well as the central station, which reduces the need to own a car for residents in the area. For those who need a car occasionally, it's more sustainable to rent one on demand. The cars are fully electric, which makes the solution even more environmentally friendly by reducing carbon emissions as well as lowering sound levels.
"A car sharing service for the tenants is exactly what makes the vision of a green and sustainable district become reality", says Sara Elmefärd, project manager for Stationsområdet at Ängelholm municipality.
Reduced carbon emissions
The contracting parties in this procurement includes Ängelholm municipality and Ängelholmshem together with Move About as the mobility supplier. Ängelholm municipality aims to reduce carbon emissions by replacing some of their older fossil-powered vehicles with up to eight shared electric cars from Move About. The electric cars will also be made available for citizens in Ängelholm to book on evenings and weekends when they are not being used by municipal employees.
